Already fixed... Yayyyyyyyy!

Yes and clever Rosalind fixed it all by herself. Now the Toilet bowl is cracked and it's making me panicky.

Yes and clever Rosalind fixed it all by herself. Now the Toilet bowl is cracked and it's making me panicky.

It is pretty easy to change your toilet... I can walk you through it if you need to replace it. You can easily do it yourself!

No I fixed the modem it's easy but I have had 2 plumbers out already and a third one is coming out later with a builder
until then I can't drink anything. :(

I bet thats a lot of it ..  I also think if you look up some good foods with iron that may give you a good natural boost also.. Don't go overboard but here are some meat sources:

mussels
pork liver..
oysters
chicken liver
beef liver
clams
beef
shrimp
turkey
sardines

Now all those absorb well into the body but when you get to the vegetables here are the good sources but be careful there are foods that make them absorb well and those that cause it to have poor absorption into your body!

canned beans or baked potatoes with the skin,
Enriched pasta and canned asparagus.
Molasses (black strap) and enriched breakfast cereal
Pumpkin seeds
cooked beans and lentils
They call those Non Heme iron meaning they don't absorb well but are good sources you can help them absorb by eating these things:

green and red peppers,
potatoes,
grapefruit, strawberries,cantelope oranges and orange juice.
Tomato juice
Broccoli
and brussels sprouts
meat fish and poultry

There are also these things that will also make it harder to absorb the iron so you might want to avoid for a bit.. if you need the iron..

coffee, tea, chard,beet greens, and spinach! Sweet potatoes and Rhubarb.
Soy products, Bran, and whole grains.

 Might try some it could help! Don't go overboard though you could get all bound up.. Just add some here and there,, you will feel better and less tired!

I just baked two Blackberry pies I wish you all could eat a piece of pie!! I am keeping one to have here for when Nathan comes home tomorrow, but the other has to find a home away from me!! Poor poor pie.. Me Loves blackberry pie... haven't had any for probably a year or so.... I am so wanting some but I must be careful and go knock on the neighbors door and offer up my pie for their sampling pleasures!!! * Lips out and heads hanging, tear rolling down my cheek. No pie for me...BOO HOO*

I did however have a lovely handful of the berries before I made the pie because me loves berries!

Karen thanks for my first laugh of the day and I will have to dream of your blueberry pie. Recipe please.

Also that list of food that is useful but I do my own shopping and already buy mainly fruit (apples, pears, oranges, berries in season, summer fruits) Veg( green leaved = spinach, cabbage, courgettes/zucchini, salad leaves, specially rocket and the stronger the better)

Loads of oily fish, not much meat but cheeses and the odd treat.
I think that Rosalind deserves one this weekend.


BTW I have the search for the toilet with local shop addresses in walking distance.

Yep, my diet has become one of mainly oily fish (mackeral and salmon ..though I do eat other fish too but not fried !)...green vegetables and red fruits..I also supplement this with lots of other fruit....I eat half a melon at night as my late night treat.

I also drink lots of juice (freshly squeezed ) it fills you up !

ONCE a week , I ignore all this and return to my old ways...I enjoy red meat and we ususally go out for a meal. I just throw caution to the wind. Though, I have to say after 4 months of dieting I find my stomach has shrunk and I can't eat as much as I did back in May !!..which is nice !

My Pleasure Rosalind... The list was just a iron filled list for Ryan and how to in effect help him absorb the iron in the foods he chose and which ones were easily absorbed and which were harder as far as the iron was concerned..
Sounds like you have a good healthy diet!

Good you will find a toilet so close!

Oh YUMMMY.. I love it but it tends to give me heart burn.. I drink it anyway!
I craved it a while back and couldn't get enough and oddly enough had been feeling really cruddy and after that few weeks of drinking it like it was going out of style, I felt 100% better and the craving disappeared!

You are doing really great Neily, I two have incorporated baked fish into my diet, mostly cods and really white fish and such, & tuna etc.. But I still struggle with it as I am not a fish fan although the fish I am eating I am able to keep down.. LOL.. So I like that.. some fish makes me sick to my stomach.. smoked salmon can be ok if its fresh !

I have always eat lots of fruits and vegetables as I love them! I love juice also.. so there is easy.. I just had to cut back on the red meat and saucy stuff and pasta... I cut out ice cream in 2005. I will have a small bit every few months as a treat as I love ice cream!

Hi Ryan we are talking about food as we like/love it and it is fun to find out each other's tastes etc.

Karen I'll sort out the toilet with my Dad's help I think having never bought one before. Never again hopefully
