Au contraire, mon brave. Pope was an ardent conservationist where coastors were concerned.

Pope was an ardent conservationist where coastors were concerned.

Whereas The Pope said beavers were fish and could be eaten on a Friday...

Quote
The Roman Catholic Church ruled that the beaver was a fish for purposes of dietary law.
Therefore, the general prohibition on the consumption of meat on Fridays during Lent does not apply to beaver meat

Beaver & Chips anyone ?  :)

I hate tolls. They use public money to build something such as a road or a bridge, then CHARGE you for it!

A rip-off, a damned rip-off. Don't get me started on tolls.

There are tunnels under the A6 for use by badgers [not beavers].
Unlike the motorists overhead, the badgers do not pay a toll when passing through :)

You are showing signs of Michael's dementia - and lack of ability to think.

What did A. Pope think of coasters?

I'm not keen on cooked apple, it makes me heave. When I was at my first school an evil teacher made me eat some apple turn-over and I brought it back down her leg. Such good memories!
