Putting blank lines before (above) the "simple plan" text, in the lower of the two text boxes, will place "simple plan" lower on the screen,
closer to the bottom left hand corner.

I've tried this with my copy of moviemaker and I couldn't get the text lower than 1/7th the vertical dimension from the bottom of the frame.

It can't be done in MM. MS has decided it's not the sort of thing people may want to do so you're not allowed to do it. Simple as that.

I would never condone the use of pirated or illegal software; so whatever you do, don't use a P2P program to download a cracked version of Adobe Premier. In any case, the only way Adobe Premier could be of any help to you is by allowing you to place titles exactly where you want.

the "Lava/Atlantic" text on this youtube video is about 1/7th from the bottom of the frame, this is achievable on MM.

Simulated,
if you put your cursor before the "S" in "Simple Plan" and hit the return key twice, the text will be displayed lower on the screen.

I tried that, but I'm Just A Kid didn't go down, and if I entered it like I did with simple plan then it went up for some reaosn.

what does this mean exactyly.

it comes up and i can play it, i can add music to it, but it won't play the music..

Put both lines of your title in the lower box, (currently "I'm just a kid" is in the upper box), then insert one or two blank lines at its beginning of the title, (press return once or twice). The blank lines will push the title lower down the screen. Note: if you put in to many blank lines the on-screen text is resized to fit (made smaller).

I don't recognise the error message, (I rarely use MM), I tried googling it ...
http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=965140
It looks like a compatability problem. Try making windows format versions of your video and audio and mixing those versions on MM.

I haven't even got MM anymore. As with most of the MS stuff that came on my PCs, I kicked it out asap.

I use Premier Pro everytime. OK, it producse .avi format only, but I've got video converters to change the finished article to .wmv, .mpeg or several other formats.

There's just no comparison between MM & Premier. MM is cheap & nasty (OK, FREE and nasty) and Premier costs a bundle, but Premier is professional quality and I haven't yet found anything it can't do; and I do some quite complicated things with multi-track videos & audio overlays.

A possible solution would be to grab a frame from the start of your video (.jpg) transfer it to photo-editing programme (e.g. photoshop) where you could superimpose text anywhere on the image. Then import the modified image back into movie-maker

Drawback: The background to the text would be still, not moving.

Well watch that

Half of that you can't do with The Sims 2, and the other half you can't do with MM haha. It says she used Sony Vegas 8.0 at the end of it. And I loooked that up, it was defiently like crazy expensive, her parents must use it for something or she is just a brat, which I have been talking to her threw youtube, and she sorta sounds like one haha, but yaa

Another question sorta about this topic. I've got this file .vob it came off of a dvd. i used this product to take it off. http://www.download.com/AIV-DVD-Cutter/3000-13631_4-10724229.html?tag=lst-1&cdlPid=10851323 and I was wondering how I could get it so MM could regonize it, since it don't in this file type. Sounds like you've got a codec problem...

Quote
If the files should be working, this is the right problem solving page to be checking... turning off a codec that is interfering might be appropriate.
It may be more of a need to get an additional codec rather than turning one off... or doing a conversion to make a file that will work from one that won't. If that's the case, then the Importing Source Files section of this site is the better place to be.

A few more questions. And I still needa get around to the last thing you helped me with, but I have these files that my cell phone makes that I want to use for movies and stuff. The extentions are .3G2 for the movie files and .QCP for the sound. My computer doesn't recognize them. Help please.

Also one more thing. I recorded a video with our camera I wanted to post here. Its the storm I wanted to show Karen ha, but its a Quicktime movie. Is there a way I can change that to a file I can edit with MM? It uploading on photobucket right now..

Thank you for the videos. Do you have any idea on the sound?

Everything I find comes up with something like this. http://www.download.com/QCP-Converter/3000-2140_4-10547864.html?hhTest A WAV, WMA, MP3 to QCP. I would like it to go the other way..

And one more. Ha. I have 2 "cds" that I put on my cell phone, but they will not play becaus they are protected. Is there a way I can get something on my phone so it will play them>

For ripping sound from protected cd's its best to use Linux as it will rip them without any problems.

Most Windows cd protection relies on the computers "auto run cd's". If you turn off auto run on music cd's then they will not start, obviously, but that then lets you rip them with "audiograbber" or another audio ripper/encoder.

A longer alternative method is to play the cd, record it in real-time as a wav and then encode it in whatever format you want. Believe me, there will be little difference in quality and the only downside is it takes time.

Copy protection is designed to stop you copying not playing so something is wrong.

How did you copy the protected cd's, or rather what with?

At a guess you ripped them with a Windows application using the Windows WMA codec which has DRM. If so then try a non windows ripper and an mp3 codec instead. To be honest WMA is a rubbish codec and one of the worst to use.

Use something that is not wmp as I think that is the problem! ;)

The one I mentioned is very good, free and easy to use and I have never had problems with it.
