Here's a site   www.struckbylightning.org/discover.pdf
It also deals with electric shock survivors.  I had a friend whose husband was electrocuted on a power line.  When he got the first shock, the lines shut down and he was hanging there by one leg.  They thought at that time he was dead.  Then the override system kicked in and the power came back on and reshocked him, which they think actually restarted his heart.  Very bizarre.  Anyway, the end result was that he survived, but lost his leg.  Worse than that, however, was that his cognitive thought processes were disturbed, and that was a permanent change.  He was officially declared disabled after that and received disability payments.

Sounds shocking. What's the nature of the injury ?

Does anyone know of someone who has heart problems after suffering an electrical injury?

Thanks!

Well of course the shock itself can trigger an abnormal heart rhythm, including cardiac arrest, which is why it can be fatal. But it would very strange if it caused a new chronic heart problem. More likely than not it might disclose an underlying problem that was already there.
