Thank you very much Rosalind.. That is really good information and a wonderful discovery... Think of all the people that could help if they are able to stop that process....

Believe it or not I have been up all night scratching because I have around 100 mosquito bites on me body right now and I hate them.. they itch so bad.. I have them on my thighs knees, ankles, back, bottom, arms wrists, knuckles hands on my big toe and upper and lower arms( on the two arms I have..:) on my face two on my head in front on part line and one behind my ear on my head they are in bites of two or three close to each other.. The things are huge this year and there are tons... of them.. I haven't been able to clean my pond but am wondering if my fish are not well! They usually really help in the summer!

Karen fine, no problems.

Have you ever heard of using Citronella or citrus oils to
stop the mosquitoes biting you, I hope.

Karen,
I noticed this BBC Malaria story today and it can affect anti-biotics. Which sounds serious for Chloroquine tablets/pills. I think.

yes it is a nasty way to die with Malaria. Sad too and I agree with you. Here's something about the reason for the genetic side of HIV.
