I have searched in my XP computer for the "Realtek Audio Manager" but it doesn't have a single file or component for it.

I do have and use the Windows Media Player also the Quicktime thing.

As last year I had some Malware/Viruses/Trojans which I deleted because of that I'm cautious about clicking on unfamiliar things.

It's all to do with audio codecs. You won't find anything called Realtek on your PC as files are named things like WDM-A404

Ok, but will it check all of the music, DVDs that I use, by the way I do have CyberLinkDVD program in my PC as well.

Why do I need it in the PC as I've had this one for over 1 year so I know it's workings more or less, I think.

Also I closed the Realtek HD Manager earlier but it has reappeared and I don't need it because I've got my radio on.
Should I accept it because I am really unsure about this thing and do know how to remove files/components.

As far as I'm aware, Media Player uses the Realtek codecs

Alright and I have just rebooted my PC but the Realtek didn't appear this time. Strange
The Media Player is working fine as I've checked it.

REALTEK

The Realtek Audio Manager is normally supplied by realtek . Ok thats obvious however your motherboard may have an board sound built into it and one of the most widley used brands is realtek. How did you notice the name realtek, what brought it to your attention.

You can always look in the device manager and see what sound cards and devices you have the option of using.

Micky,
This morning when I turned my PC on then a message appeared from now where and today is the first ever time that I'd seen or heard of it.
Because my brother put the PC together for me, so I don't know what is on the motherboard also if I took it apart then my computer wouldn't work again.

I will look at the device manager good advice.

(I have just checked the "Device Manager" and the Realtek shows up as does the Codec thing also.

Yeah its probably got on board sound. If your brother built it the motherboard would have come with a disc which would contains all the drivers and realtek software if you wish to use it which you dont need to.

Micky I have just rechecked through every Computer CD that I got when I purchased this computer after my brother had built it.
But I didn't get any paperwork or guarantee stuff for Realtek
yet it's on the invoice that I've got.

Although I have every other CD for the workings of the computer
even for the Monitor screen. NVDIA as well.

I couldn't see what my brother put on the motherboard as I don't live near him.
