Blakey: So if you are related then you have famous relatives. Did doing the search reveal the new relatives or did you know them already.

I knew about the famous relative because I saw my name every time I went into a bookshop, though not so much now, and he had commissioned a history and a family tree that he sent to members of the family (such as my father) who were interested; but it only goes back unbroken to 1612. All honest folk and true but nothing of any real note, except that during the civil war they just kept their heads down, sat on the fence* and came out for neither side.  ;D

* No, they weren't spectators.

You surprise me DoctorBeaver - a polymath such as yourself would know that the first record of tea being taken in England was 1658 and as the civil war was between 1642 and 1651 the answer is - No, they didn't.  ;D

You are, of course, correct. I should have said "infusions", but that didn't sound right.

They say in Norfolk "If you catch a weasel asleep, piss in its ear".

I'm not sure what you'd do with a beaver. [^]
