Is our universe a closed system or an open system and how would the effects of the second law of thermodynamics and that of entropy "differ between two such systems"?

think of how energy entangles mass withstanding time

in which a system may appear closed in reality it never is.

such proof would be, there is no perfect vacuum

so even as we may suggest a system is closed, then to be purely causal, if one line item of 'heat' was disipating; then where did it go?   Do you see the point?

Entropy to me is like observing the universe as fire, air, water and earth;   real old school and is usable in the macro but in the micro or atomic level, the model cannot work (hence special)

to combine them means that the causality between a system and environment must be reconcilable and that missing link is the property of energy (light) called entanglement which in pure form is literally that lost causation even Newton shared as a phenomenon; gravity.

or simply put; gravity is literally entangled energy and is easy to prove on many fronts

Well entropy will win in the end regardless of whether the universe is closed or open. All the original energy from the big bang is still contained in the universe, only dissipated by entropy and expansion.

From the almost infinite temperature of the big bang singularity event it has now cooled down to a Tad above absolute zero.

At time of writing this reply the majority of scientist think the universe is open and going to expand forever
