Greetings some problems I perceive in an eternal heaven of endless bliss

All the time in the existence and not a moment to call your own

No pain and no gain

No point to the day and nothing different tomorrow

An eternity of gratitude and nothing to live for

Never having to say you’d rather be somewhere else

All you will ever know again

Pointless and endless

It is never over no matter have had how many fat have ladies sung

An offer you can’t refuse

The endless futility at the end of your pointless life

The meaningless reason for your existence

An eternal karaoke in which you never choose the songs

The playground of those devoid of imagination

The place the pious go

Full of all those people you were delighted to think you would never see again

Obligatory, interminable and insufferable

Of course there are the possible alternatives of hell or cessation of existence

I could add many more but lets leave it at that

What do you guys think?

Alan

You're right - there does seem to be a lot more happening in Hell.

I think Captain Jack on Torchwood (the man that can't die, staying ageless)demonstrates how bad immortality can be.

Quote
Heaven, as conventionally conceived, is a place so inane, so dull, so useless, so miserable,
that nobody has ever ventured to describe a whole day in heaven,
though plenty of people have described a day at the seaside.

It is said when the immortals see the mortals, they look at them with jealous longing to share the mortal blessing of everlasting sleep

Alan what proof do you or anyone else have that "heaven" actually
exists? I don't think it does.

rosalind,

I was not trying to prove anything, just posing questions about the impossible maybe even silly beliefs that some religions have about heaven

They must come up with better logic than sitting around eating grapes the size of watermelons basking in the never changing warm from a friendly sun Get my drift god would not offer us such a silly eternity that would change into a hell after 200 or less years. But heck after a million billion unchanging years what then.

These people how knock on our doors and spew out ridiculous nonsense makes me angry

Alan I asked that question because as I inferred that I don't believe that heaven or hell exist.

If I get someone trying to sell me religion they usually get told
a tall story. Then I shut the door on them.

Surely heaven and hell are dependant on your personal preferences.

My heaven would be all LOADS OF NUBILE YOUNG WOMEN(I might need a pair of jump leads for this)  and lots of comedy films & TV

This would be hell to a grumpy, dieting, teatotal, homosexual.

But as I am an atheist, I think we all will end pushing up daisies, unless someone can prove any different to me, in which case I'll be off to the nearest appropriate place of worship...

A very nice atheistic fantasy at that and you will not even get fat and have three hour orgasms if you like

WOW, is this a prophecy or something you are bestowing upon Don? Either way, can I also share in the wonderful gifts?

Alas, 'fantasy' is the operative word here.
