Here is an article from www.annointed.net .

Women and Welfare Moms in Germany may be forced into prostitution to keep their benifits. It's the Law in Germany. If there ever was a country that needed help it is Germany. Who will join me in prayer for these young women. Oh by the way it is the same for men. They may be forced to work in the gay bath houses.

As of today if you live in Germany and are on welfare or unemployment for one year you must take any job offered. Now they are forcing welfare moms into prostitution. Please read the rest and stand with us in prayer. Or just click the link below to read the full story.

This is no joke. Everyone is talking about moral values. Everyone is talking about why Christians are trying to force their moral values on others. Everyone is talking about what good are the 10 Commandments. Then when we try and give an explanation they say we are always carrying things to the extreme. The politicians try and say those extreme thing will never happen any where.

Well here is an up today example of how a government is out of control over money. Two years ago Germany passed a no morals law. They said prostitution was a legal trade like being a waitress. They gave them health insurance, unemployment and welfare.

Now two years later they passed a law that all women who have been on welfare or unemployment for over a year must take any job offered. Well now the brothels are offering the welfare moms jobs as prostitutes or naked dancers. It does not matter what their beliefs or religion is, if they refuse they will lose their benefits. This could also include health insurance.

The nation that prides itself on starting the reformation now prides itself on having no moral values. The nation that birthed "we are saved by grace through faith, not by works" Now is throwing an sense of decency out the window by saying there are no moral values in Government.

A 25-year-old waitress who turned down a job providing "sexual services'' at a brothel in Berlin faces possible cuts to her unemployment benefit under laws introduced this year.

Prostitution was legalised in Germany just over two years ago and brothel owners – who must pay tax and employee health insurance – were granted access to official databases of jobseekers.

The waitress, an unemployed information technology professional, had said that she was willing to work in a bar at night and had worked in a cafe.

She received a letter from the job centre telling her that an employer was interested in her "profile'' and that she should ring them. Only on doing so did the woman, who has not been identified for legal reasons, realise that she was calling a brothel.

Under Germany's welfare reforms, any woman under 55 who has been out of work for more than a year can be forced to take an available job – including in the sex industry – or lose her unemployment benefit. Last month German unemployment rose for the 11th consecutive month to 4.5 million, taking the number out of work to its highest since reunification in 1990.

The government had considered making brothels an exception on moral grounds, but decided that it would be too difficult to distinguish them from bars. As a result, job centres must treat employers looking for a prostitute in the same way as those looking for a dental nurse.

When the waitress looked into suing the job centre, she found out that it had not broken the law. Job centres that refuse to penalise people who turn down a job by cutting their benefits face legal action from the potential employer.

"There is now nothing in the law to stop women from being sent into the sex industry," said Merchthild Garweg, a lawyer from Hamburg who specialises in such cases. "The new regulations say that working in the sex industry is not immoral any more, and so jobs cannot be turned down without a risk to benefits."

Miss Garweg said that women who had worked in call centres had been offered jobs on telephone sex lines. At one job centre in the city of Gotha, a 23-year-old woman was told that she had to attend an interview as a "nude model", and should report back on the meeting. Employers in the sex industry can also advertise in job centres, a move that came into force this month. A job centre that refuses to accept the advertisement can be sued.

Tatiana Ulyanova, who owns a brothel in central Berlin, has been searching the online database of her local job centre for recruits.

"Why shouldn't I look for employees through the job centre when I pay my taxes just like anybody else?" said Miss Ulyanova.

Ulrich Kueperkoch wanted to open a brothel in Goerlitz, in former East Germany, but his local job centre withdrew his advertisement for 12 prostitutes, saying it would be impossible to find them.

Mr Kueperkoch said that he was confident of demand for a brothel in the area and planned to take a claim for compensation to the highest court. Prostitution was legalised in Germany in 2002 because the government believed that this would help to combat trafficking in women and cut links to organised crime.

Miss Garweg believes that pressure on job centres to meet employment targets will soon result in them using their powers to cut the benefits of women who refuse jobs providing sexual services.

"They are already prepared to push women into jobs related to sexual services, but which don't count as prostitution,'' she said.

"Now that prostitution is no longer considered by the law to be immoral, there is really nothing but the goodwill of the job centres to stop them from pushing women into jobs they don't want to do."

I think the key phrase here is:

quote:

Miss Garweg believes that pressure on job centres to meet employment targets will soon result in them using their powers to cut the benefits of women who refuse jobs providing sexual services.

(my emphasis).

In other words, this has not happened, nor has any decision been taken for it to happen, but it is hypothesised that it will happen.  This story dates back to January 2005 (I see it was posted here in February 2005), so that has given the Germans 18 months in which to implement this hypothetical policy – has anyone heard of it actually becoming reality in that time?

False story alert: Women in Germany probably not being forced into prostitution by welfare state

Posted by Ampersand | February 1st, 2005
Yesterday I posted a Telegraph article about a woman in Germany being forced to choose between losing unemployment benefits and taking a job in a brothel. It now seems likely that the Telegraph article is not true.
In the comments to yesterday’s post, Alison points to this Reuters article, which says:
quote:

A spokesman for the Federal Labour Office said that if job seekers said they were prepared to work as, for example, dancers in strip bars, advisers could put them in touch with any suitable employers, but vacancies would not be displayed in job centres.
He also stressed job centres would not look for prostitutes on behalf of brothels, nor offer sex industry jobs to people who hadn’t specifically mentioned it as an area of interest.

Unfortunately, the retraction goes back to February 2005, and no longer appears to be online, so I could not verify the existence of the Reuters article.

I wouldn't be friends with anyone who would use a reluctant girl anyway. Women aren't objects, what they want matters a lot. the laws have long respected matters of free will in sex.

Stimulus, psyche and meditation pose more questions than answers.

I applaud you Lunavasser!  My family came from Hamburg & Ulm..so I am thrilled there are lots of wonderful men out here that are not supporting this.

Still I am concerned with the story retraction headline "Women in Germany PROBABLY?? not being forced into prostitution by welfare state...Probably does not mean it is absolute.  It could mean there may be some validity in this story...

The spokesman for the Federal Labour Office seemed fairly definite in his statement (but then, he would, wouldn't he).

My own view is that it is very unlikely that it is the intent or the policy of the German authorities to force anyone into prostitution (in fact, i would not be surprised if in doing so they might not well be in breach of all sorts of criminal legislation).  The problem often happens between the intentions of the people who draw up the policy and the interpretation of the lowly clerical persons who have to interpret that policy.

On the other hand, if such an event were to have taken place, I cannot imagine that it would not have been front page news on a great number of newspapers, not only in Germany, but at very least throughout Europe (nobody really cares what the German bureaucrats get up to, but sex always sells newspapers no matter how boring the underlying story may be).  Aside from the small flurry of stories at the beginning of 2005, which was followed by this retraction, I have not seen anything further written on the matter.  It does not seem to me to be credible that if further stories of such a nature did arise, that the press could have not made the most of it.
