Is there any discernible difference between male and female fingerprints ?

Is the difference that one is made by a woman, the other by a man?

;D

I was thinking that girly prints might have more girly patternation and blokes would be more manly !...ie: a difference in structure that is associated with each gender.

"It's interesting that the average [papillary] ridge breadth of a male is 0.48mm and a female 0.43mm."

Unfortunately, he does not appear to confirm the accuracy of this statement on his site by way of a referenced or verifiable study.

Unusual dermatoglyphic patterns [finger prints] often relate to genetic disorders

Some genetic disorders only affect one gender.

So the larger you are the larger your ridge width is....um interesting.

Neil, do you expect girls to have floral prints on their fingers and boys to have racing cars? What do you mean, manly patternation?

Neil, according to the latest advances in scientific fingerprint-genderology, the female fingerprint looks thus or contains this pattern:

I don't know if this relates to the question, but it's...another question:

If a man is in the forest talking out loud, without a woman anywhere nearby to hear him....is he still wrong???

Please advise.
