Chilli con carne - for the fourth day in succession. Wife has gone to Munich for half term so I made a big batch on Saturday - I don't want this dish again for a long time.  [xx(]

Very nice Karen but it looks like a bit too much washing up  - the point of making the big pot of Chilli was to avoid that.  :)

"Chicken Rolls Kiev" sounds like a rather perplexing headline in Pravda!

Hi Rosalind - there is no link between the Schengen agreement and the EU member countries - please have a look at this site http://www.schengenvisa.cc/ where it states:

"All Schengen countries are in Europe. However, it should not be confused with the EU (European Union). Schengen and European Union are two different agreements between European countries. A total of 30 countries, including all European Union countries (except Ireland and United Kingdom) and three non-EU members (Iceland, Norway, and Switzerland) have signed the Schengen agreement. However, only 15 countries have implemented the common border control and visa provisions."

Also, this site : http://www.swissinfo.ch/eng/news_digest/Switzerland_links_up_to_European_police_files.html?siteSect=104&sid=9482144 that stated on August 11, 2008 "Switzerland links up to European police files -
Police is (sic) set to link up to the Europe-wide database system this week as part of Switzerland's membership in the Schengen security cooperation agreement."

It's so long ago I can't remember - but it was probably with goat's butter and salt and pepper. I recommend goat's butter, it's less greasy than cow's and a nicer flavour.

An Italian sausage and barley soup with panini bread. Made the soup myself - gourmand fare.

An Italian sausage...

 :o

Seem to loose meaning when "soup" is neglected. Are you just trying to be offensive?
