Say, I've posted 42 (to date) comments on this forum and it still says I'm a newbie. At what point do I become the next category up, whatever that is?

Keep posting. 42 is very young. I'm 42. I think you have to get to treble figures. You obviously have a fuller life than us lot. Enjoy it.

I'm 42 too and I agree, it is very young!  I was told today that I was too old to get a sports car and that I should act me age and get a nice family car!  Hmpht!

Some of the biggest loonies and losers on the forum have large post counts, do you want to be associated with Jimbob, beaver... them?

Why do you want more points? I've not always succeeded but it's probably more worth while putting up a few good posts rather than a lot of LOLs and smileys. Having said that, there's room for everyone whatever they post.

What is a bit odd though, is that 20 lines of succinct explanation gets the same number of points as a single smiley. :-\

For the record, I've never put LOLs and smileys in my posts. They've ranged from the serious to the tongue in cheek, but, on the whole, I aim for quality, not quantity.
