Should I go to Nando's?
« on: 24/10/2008 21:00:46 »
My town has just converted its branch of HSBC to a Nando's - very nice it is too (I've peered through the door). The question is: Should I eat there?

My family don't eat chicken in places like this as we can't be sure how they were reared, but they do stuff with beans and I do love chilli - we don't mind the occasional meal like this as we eat 'properly' for the rest of the time.

They have had controversy over their advertising that allegedly exploits women (a pole-dancing working mother) and a blind person (whose dog walked her into a post, knocking her out, so it could eat her takeaway).

All that aside, has anyone a Nando's experience they would care to share?

I've eaten at Nando's and can highly recommend it (at least, I can recommend the branch I went to)

My ex-girlfriend once wanted to move to another city because there was no Nando's here.

Judging by where you live, I don't reckon there's anything there but crocs!

And what's that weird pattern northwest of town?

Looks like that was where Nando's was going to be built until ET landed there.

Is it the Aussie equivalent of area 51? Strange construction in the middle.

Or maybe it's crop circles without the crops!

Good question, my mate thinks its an air force antenna array. Incidently where i work is just south of that, the building at the end of the first right turn off enterprise st, south of Trade ct. It's a galvanizing plant. Maybe i should go for a drive up that way after work and snoop around a bit :P

Don't go to Nandos - the logo always looks rude to me.  Find your nearest Wagamama's instead.

Underground weapons test site? : it looks a bit like this one in Nevada...

NB: Not necessarily nuclear, Madidus.

I was in the Trafford Centre today, the rumour was that Nandos had run out of chicken.

It would have been funnier if the chicken had run out of Nandos. ;D

That sounds like something straight out of Feldman or Python - or Harry Hill.

I went to Nandos to fuel up for fart in a lift day. Say no more!

The above picture looks more like a Madonna test site.

This is not possible - women don't do that sort of thing.
