After stopping to eat in Glasgow years ago, and seeing the things they were prepared to deep-fry, I would have said it was based on a death wish.

Not as cold as Finland and they don't eat deep fried reindeer kebabs.

I've seen this too. In St Petersburg two fell down a fire escape from a top floor of our hotel (it was thought they mistook it for their room door) and died in the cold (- 31C).

That's odd - I know quite a few Finns, and they are pretty sober - too cold to be drunk, perhaps?. Also, the males do all have the same rather monotone voice, similar to Kimi Raikkonen

I've been to Finland and I think drinking Estonian vodka is their national sport! They pop across on the ferry and buy it by the tankerload as it's so much cheaper than buying vodka in Finland.

Mike Myers - "My theory is that all of Scottish cuisine is based on a dare."

"Scottish cuisine" is an oxymoron.

You mean 'oat cuisine, I assume. I don't think I could "stomach" that. Haggis and all that you know.

I was looking up this word on the net, and was ammused by this result.

"Procreation:
One entry found."

Also, if i believe in evolution through inheritance of genetic material and natural changes, does that make me a "procreationist"?

Members of the KKK visiting Scotland will be glad to hear that white Pudding is also available...

Quote
White pudding or oatmeal pudding is a meat dish popular in Scotland... It is very similar to black pudding, but does not include blood. Consequently, it consists of pork meat and fat, suet, bread, and oatmeal formed into the shape of a large sausage. Earlier versions (pre-1990) often had brain matter (sheep) added as a binding agent.

What has that got to do with the price of haggis.

Are you suggesting that the haggis is not an evolved lifeform?

She is. And it possibly incorrect as it tends to crawl around in one's stomach and then find it's own way out, usually through the mouth.

Call me old fashioned, but I'm used to following the title of the thread, and I thought that it was appropriate for my own quote of the day....
