I have been dealing with a lot of emotional stresses over the last two years as well as serious physical illness. I have had to  remove many stresses to try to get better.... I am not sure how but accordading to my Doctor....My stress level is...causing more strain on my already sick body...

What is it in a persons body that allows motional turmoil to open you up wide to more physical illness?

I eally don,t understand how that can pertain to physical well being?

Does it have something to do with... body chemistry or brain chemicals etc...?

Cortisol is a corticosteroid hormone or glucocorticoid produced by the adrenal cortex, that is part of the adrenal gland. It is usually referred to as the "stress hormone" as it is involved in response to stress. It increases blood pressure and blood sugar, and reduces immune responses. Various synthetic forms of cortisol are used to treat a variety of different illnesses. The most well-known of these are a natural metabolic intermediary of cortisol named hydrocortisone

The production of this hormone suppresses the immune system making the person more susceptible to infectious disease.
As mentioned above it also increases blood sugar and blood pressure, so can exacerbate diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Thanks RD... that helps me to understand some better... I had issues arising from this th last few weeks and have been told that my body is not handling the emotional stress ... because it was exasperating my already physical problems... so  I am to try to elliminate as much as possible....

So That is how aneurysms, stress, and blood pressure are  connected then  suspect.... He said that it was elvatin the bloodpressue and creating problems with the aneurysms.... Is that how? Just raising the blood pressure  and making it hard to control with meds?? My pressure has been all over the place as are my emotions....
