In this age of fora, FB and other internet links, it is very much easier to "meet" new people, to find out about them and to form a "relationship". If you went down the pub of a Friday night and met with the same person in this environs, eventually, you might come to call them a "friend". I think that there are people who know more about each other than these hypothetical pub people, but have never met since all the interactions have been internet based. Can they still call themselves "friends" even though they have never met, and may not actually know what the other person looks like?

I've met people on the net whom I would class as friends. Yes, there is probably more chance for deception and giving people a false impression but that's a chance you have to take. There's a degree of that in "real life" too

I wonder how different the "friendship" would be if you really did meet them?

Yes indeed Handsome you be!

Hi Bro... I think we Share some of the same Genes! LOL

I do not think you have to meet face to face to be friends, I think one reveals more of their true self better this way ... in a deeper kind of way...
