Ah, but ScienceGuy is mistaken. Sawing employs a back-and-forth motion. What I do is nibble. Totally different  [^]

He wouldn't like it too much as the oil in his hair and the chalk in the duster would cause a deposit of chalk on his hair. After grooming it would form a hairball of chalk plaster and the bowel distress would be tremendous - just think about how hurtful that wiuld be for the poor, dumb animal.
