I am looking for a magazine article from between 92 - 98 where they x-rayd the Earth using its own gravitational field to do it. In the x-ray there were three large oval shaped objects that they claimed were not made of normal matter. How can I find this?

How can you X-ray anything using a gravitational field?

Seismology is used to image Earth's interior: it's like sonar, not an x-ray.

How can you X-ray anything using a gravitational field?

Maps of the variations in surface gravity can reveal hidden deformations in the crust like the Chicxulub crater...

I know. But that's not X-ray.

People do use the term "X-ray" to mean "image hidden structure", even though X-rays are not actually used.

Creationvger's "oval objects not made from normal matter" sound like science fiction to me,

although strictly speaking the Earth and its inner cores are "oval" (oblate spheroids).
