which is the best of the green teas to drink?

Paul Anderson  asked the Naked Scientists:

I go to work and drink a cup of coffee to keep myself awake during the
shift. I know that caffeine is bad for me, so I manage to wean myself off
coffee and start drinking "XiaMen green tea (A Japanese told me that
Japanese green tea is the best of the green teas and has the most
antioxidants. Is that correct and if so, any particular type of Japanese
green tea? Years ago in Japan I tried some tea used in the tea ceremony but I thought it tasted a bit like a handful of freshly cut grass cut on a dewy morning and then squeezed into a cup. In other words, it was an acquired taste! However, I think on that occasion I had flown in from London on a BOAC flight and they had given me a cup of Japanese tea which tasted very pleasant. I should have asked them what type it was.).

The question here is,
which is the best of the green teas to drink?

Anyway,  I just get myself off the coffee and into the green tea and then I hear one of your podcasts where I am told that coffee helps ward off colon cancer, so now I am wondering which way to turn? Do I ride the donkey or carry him?

What do you think?

coffee isn't inherently bad for you.. but moderation is the key.

Perhaps a coffee in the morning to 'wake you up' then substitute all daily coffees with green tea instead.

The only good green tea I have had was on a tea plantation in Sri Lanka, fresh picked tips. Others I have found to be a let down.
