OK..LOL

Yesterday was a dream I had of holding you close, not feeling so bad.

Today the darkness fills my heart... Is it Time to leave or to depart.

No new dreams I find when I close my eyes only old fears do fill my mind..It's no surprise!

Erase the the love, erase the pain, erase the loss, erase the gains!

What torture lies inside of me, if I erase the best parts you see?

So leave them here! I am free to dream...and hold my memories close to me..

Close my eyes and dream again..to see that love shall never end!

   A sacred song

Oh How I love thee, every whisper from thy mouth.
Thy words they flow like a sacred song as the wind doth blow them south!

I listen and accept them in to my heart once more,
and there I keep them safely to to float away no more!

Oh peace reins strong within my heart, within thy quiet song!
I sing the tune so gently too, to help us  to be strong.

Give me strength to hold your hand, so in your heart you  understand.
Many times I stumble too and then remember what to do!

Emersed so deeply within such pain, reaching out to you in the pouring rain...
Taking your hand and feeling your strength, helping you is helping me!

Please don't let go and I'll do the same,
and somehow we'll get through this driving rain.

Gentle words and smiles dry tears, erase the pain from many years.
Ease our burdens, and spread our wings, and listen to the songs we sing..

Oh How I love thee, every whisper from thy mouth.
Thy words they flow like sacred song as the wind doth blow them south!

Karen

The scientists lullaby.

In a position of immediate vertical sub-ordinance with primary concern to an Aesculus hippocastanum patulous through its divergence in upper stratum lateral growth,

With direct reference to the locale in which the reciter of the rhyme was supporting the third party referred to by single use of the aforementioneds’ patello-femoral and tibio-femoral joints,

The collective present were in an uplifted emotional state characterised by the response to external stimuli creating synaptic transfers resulting in an extended release of endogenous biomechanical substances,

In a position of immediate vertical sub-ordinance with primary concern to an Aesculus hippocastanum patulous through its divergence in upper stratum lateral growth.

So which nursery rhyme is it?

Here's another silly thing I wrote a while back.....

Birthday songs, and their influence on ones outcome
When I have a moment or two spare with nothing better to do, I cruise through a few websites, looking for interesting or educational matter. I should hasten to add at his point that this is while I am at work, and so does not involve the sort of website where there is more pink used than any other colour, and where some sort of trouser arouser is the likely outcome, to coin a phrase. Oh, by the way. I learned yesterday that owls have fourteen vertebrae in their necks, twice as many as any giraffe. So although giraffes were first in the queue when necks were handed out, they were somewhere near the middle for the vertebrae. This shows that it is impossible to successfully queue for two things simultaneously, and that in all likelihood, anatomy was originally dispensed at the zoological equivalence of post-offices.
So, having found some if not amusing, then appropriately time-filling websites, I’ll scoot around the links and see what comes up. One such link lead me to a site that listed all of the UK, American and Australian number one records since records began. (I’m trying to think of something slick and witty to put concerning the juxtaposition of the second “records” and it’s dual meaning, along the lines of since records began, i.e. when historical data was first noted, and the second meaning, about the actual records first being made. (You see how difficult it is to be me?) If you read this bit, you’ll know that I couldn’t. Perhaps I’ll leave a gap here, and you could fill in your own witticism).
Consequently, like a naturally inquisitive person, I wanted to find out what was number one in the UK when I was born. I discovered that it was “Sugar Sugar” (do do doo doo dooh dooh, ah honey honey), by some band whose name I can’t remember just now. So then I looked up Em’s birthsong, to find it was the BeeGees “Massachusetts”. (I was told in assurance that it was appropriately re-named in their honour as “massive chew sets”). I have no clear idea about why I find these trivia fascinating, but here is one thought: perhaps whatever song was at number one has an influence on the path of ones life? This isn’t quite as illogical as it sounds if you consider the consequence of if it had as strong an influence on many people’s credulity as astrology. If boulders millions of miles away can exert an influence on your life (if you are inclined to pay attention to these with any sort of reverence), then why not the mood of the music scene and it’s constructs’ perhaps rather more tangible influence to someone here on earth? Thusly, so and therefore, my life should be one of immutable sweetness and governed by bee by-products (wasn’t that sung by the Bay City Rollers?). And of course it is. Conclusive proof I think. In addition, my wife has a splendid set of nashers (!), and one of the places she has never been to in the USA is Massachusetts. It becomes scary, doesn’t it?
So, I’ve been asking around to see what songs are other friends and families “Birth Songs”, and to by surprise and delight, they fit into a perfect trend. The boyfriend of an old college friend is very much into gigging and is a fabulous guitar player. Unfortunately, he often has trouble forming a band. Do you know what his song is? “Do you want to be in my gang” by the then un-incarcerated Gary Glitter. One of my brothers in law’s is “Wonderful Land” by the shadows. He has just moved to Spain (hence “Wonderful Land”) and it’s very sunny there (hence “Shadows”). It’s as uncanny as a plateful of beans.
So what I propose is that everyone finds out their song and see how their own destinies have been formed, moulded and generally wrapped around whatever the number one hit was at that time. I think you will also be pleasantly warmed to find that there is so much that is therefore just not your fault. If only Joe Dolce hadn’t kept Ultravox from the number one position, so many lives could be different (and I guess no more so than for both Joe’s and Midge Ure’s, though, I feel, for rather different reasons).
This gives us all the un-missable opportunity of going someway to maximise our children’s potential even before they are born, without having to answer to the maelstrom-like tirades from anti-cloning and GM lobbies. (Deep breath – this next bit is convoluted at best). If you can simultaneously release a record that has the title, “I’m completely happy and have lots of money” or “Oh, another Nobel prize”, or whatever accomplishment you wish your children to have and then plan it such that you know will get to number one in about nine months, conceive a baby timed such that they will be born in that week, then, and I know you see the logic behind this, you will know your dependants will live rich and fulfilling lives.
Isn’t it reassuring to finally have something easy and transparent you can have trust and total faith in? I’m off to the recording studio with my proto-hit “Planetary Shuffle”. You see, I want my next child to be able to really annoy astrologists.

I have subsequently found out that “Sugar sugar” was sung by the “Archies”.  My second son’s name is…..well, can you guess?
