What is Dihyrotestosterone???
« on: 15/02/2009 11:29:42 »
Well I heard something about this in conjunction with hair growth or the lack of it...I am thinking I have most Likely spelled it wrong.

Can someone tell me about this? Is it strictly something associated with male pattern baldness or can this be associated to womens balding also?

( spelling has been corrected...Thanks Bored Chemist)

Do you mean this?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dihydrotestosterone

Yes! Thank you Bored... that is exactly what It is ..I only hard it briefly So my spelling was off as I only heard it theone time...

Your Wiki Link states its associated to male pattern baldness but NOT female pattern  baldness.. It is the testosterone with women and not The  DHTT.

There is testosterone in women but not usually much. I don't know if it has an effect on hair loss. To be honest I think male hormones are confusing enough- I gave up on female ones.
Is there anyone out there with a better understaning than mine who can help karen out here?
