Yup, comes in powder-form, you only need to add some H20 and stir well. [:o)]

Cool site, Neil!

Especially check out the FAQ:

http://www.buydehydratedwater.com/faq.htm

Q: "How do I spit it out if I don't like it?"
A: Simply exhale and the dehydrated water will leave your body.

Nice site! Why would this be useful though? What purpose does it serve that normal water couldn't? except possibly in space travel.

Welll, think of the huge savings in rocket fuel, since this is much, much lighter than normal H2O, of course. Naturally, you're familiar with heavy water:

Kinda like that, in reverse...

Wow! If either of these companies ever go public, I definately want to buy stock. This could save millions of lives in the event of a severe drought. I wonder if you could use the dehydrated water in your pool or bath? I'm going to look into producing a shower system for this. This is so intriguing! I see such possibilities with this.

I've always said it: true genius lies in sheer simplicity.

Only wonder how it would work out, patent-wise, you know? Can you patent an element? Think not, same thing with lithium for bipolar patients, just about the only thing that works, but never really got off, because it cannot be patented to make an honest trillion or so.

On the other hand, this is so big, wouldn't it be better if it was kept for the public good, like some community utility, and help setting this stuff up too in underprivileged places on this planet, like?

Gosh, what will they think of next? Sliced muesli?

is eveyone going along with the sarcasm here or are you all stupid?
dehydration means to have the H20 removed. if you gained anytype of water, lets say tap water, and dehydrated it, all that would be left is some ions, namely salt (NaCl) potassium K and some Magnesium Mg as well as ant grit or gunk.
to rehydrate it for use you would have to add water, H20, thus its a scam or joke scheme.
true dehydrated water would be nothing, a vaccum - space void of all matter.

I was referring to the scary absence of any semblance of a sense of humour from the person who asked if we were all stupid.

Lack of a sense of humor is scary anyplace. Consider Washington, D.C.!

No, I'm afraid you can't patent an element.  But wait: water is a compound!  Hmmm... should be fully patentable.
Poor qwerty... Surely there's a philanthropic foundation for this disorder.

Somebody should teach qwerty how to recognize sarcasm (and how to laugh).

Actually, it's kind of pathetic but, you could probably make a lot of money with a scam like instant water.  Just think about all the stupid people out there that would believe something like that!  That is until somebody like qwerty came and ruined the fun (I suppose a politician could also have such an intense lack of humor as to crash the party too).

technically, it is not Nothing when water evaporates.  What it is is water vapor.

And with dehydrated water, how will you get all of the minerals and other things that are essential to your body and that you get from drinking water?

I vote no for dehydrated water

Edit:  BTW Qwerty, Welcome to this forum!:D:D:D

therefore E=deg/360 X 2(PiD)

OMG Science Guy, we weren't actually considering the prospect of dehydrated water seriously.  You and qwerty need to go start your own threads and have a big "hey, we don't have any sense of humor" party.  Nobody in their right minds would actually take this topic seriously (well, I guess that makes you two out of your minds:D).

The best way to treat dehydration is to prevent it from occurring. If you suspect excessive fluid loss during and illness, your physician should be notified. Intravenous or oral fluid replacement may be needed, depending on severity of fluid loss. In the 1960's the World Health Organization (WHO) developed an oral solution containing sugar, which improved the absorption of salt/water preparations, saving the lives of many dehydrated persons in remote areas. This solution can be prepared at home by mixing the following:

Table Salt - 3/4 teaspoon
Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon
Sugar -4 tablespoons
Orange juice - I cup
Water - I quart/liter

What you do speaks so loudly that I cannot hear what you say.
