This is my 80's favourite. I know it is totally camp but you've got to love the filthy little boy.

Do you know, I KNEW what it was before I hit the link....

This one, I think, just squeaks in to the '80's. It has to be played VERY LOUD!

Stuart - "Cars" was `1st released in 1979 but re-released in 1987 so you're OK with it.

I found most of the chart music from the 70's quite naff.

I did like 'Trees', 'Credence Clearwater Revival', 'The Eagles' and a few others.

This a goody from the 70's http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUTKMrO1hhw

Good grief, almost forgot to add Zeplin.

I was lucky enough to see Steve Vai twice in the late '80's when he was with DLR. Passion and Warfare is the best, I think.

Ugh..."playing the guitar like a machine gun"  Frank Zappa (Vai's former boss)

Being able to type 100 words a minute doesn't mean you're an author...

He's a great transcriptionist though.

Are you implying that Vai doesn't write good music? If so then I must disagree with you.

LOL...These two 'anecdotal' comments are not related, thereby, there is, no non sequiter.

I stating I don't think he writes good music. Anymore than pulchritude defines a good woman. Although pulchritude has it's place... LOL

No, sexual prowess + ability at housework = or > pulchritude

Sheesh!!! What a list eh!

I'm surprised 'Agado' , 'Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep' and the like weren't there.

Sorry Paul, but just not my taste at all.

OK, so I can't criticise without laying myself open to criticism from others, so here's a few of my favourites (depending on my mood at the time)
Cream – I Feel Free
Yardbirds – For Your Love
Led Zeppelin – Thank You;  Stairway to Heaven
Beatles – Yes it is; Strawberry fields & many more
Stones – We Love You; Paint it Black & many more
Moody Blues – Question; Nights in White Satin
Justin Hayward – Forever Autumn
Judy Tzuke – Stay with me till Dawn (Superb live version
[/url]
CCR – Born on the Bayou; Suzie Q; Effigy & many more (they were great at The Albert Hall!)
Eagles – Bitter Creek; Hotel California & many more
Fleetwood Mac – Oh Well; Man of the World; Go your own way; You make lovin’ fun & many more
Blue Oyster Cult – Don’t fear the Reaper
Spencer Davis Group – Keep on Runnin’
Boston – More than a Feeling
Trees – Sally Free and Easy; Lady Margret; Murdoch; in fact, just about everything they did!!!
Cat Stevens – Father & Son; Moon Shadow; Where will the Children Play?; Morning has Broken & many more.
Dave Berry – The Crying Game
John Denver – Rocky Mountain High; The Eagle & the Hawk; Sunshine on my Shoulders & many more
Madonna – Frozen; The Power of Goodbye
The Corrs – So Young; Runaway
Natalie Imbruglia – Torn
James Blunt – Three Wise Men
Byrds – Turn Turn Turn; Eight Miles High
OMG! This could turn into an epic list, think I’d better stop here.
