Sleeping At Work Considered Good

A town in Germany has discovered that sleeping while at work has
increased worker efficiency.  The small town of Vechta which is
situated southwest of Hamburg, have allowed the workers to take
a nap for 20 minutes.  They can go home or doze off at work
after lunch.  "In the beginning employees were skeptical about
the project, but then they were happier and they started working
better." said town spokesman Frank Kaethler.  This project
started because their was a lot of work that needed to be done
and not enough employees, so they received a course from the
local health insurance company on napping.  It has been found
that 22% of the German population naps but the town of Vechta is
the only one that has implemented the project.

I moving there next week....................... ;D

I think I'll move there as well - try that here and well, at the elast, one would be very decorated and at worst, a one way escort to the airport

I found a German article online about that town. They say it is called "power napping" and is common in the USA for years. I did not hear about that here. It is supposed to be good for your spinal cord and to avoid mistakes. I believe it. I used to nap during my internship in Germany. During my lunch break that is. It felt pretty good. I still often pull over when driving home to take a nap. Especially in the winter. I get tired when it gets dark.

Ah yes, but only twenty minutes of joy?
Let's start in the morning and see how it develops instead.

We went to see The Real Thing in concert last night (not my thing but my friend was keen to take me) Anyway, my hubby fell asleep whilst all around him were singing, dancing, clapping and cheering. The music was LOUD! He is the world champion napper. He sleeps at work behind his filing cabinet.
