neil actually gave me this idea with the topic "can you squeeze water" thx neil! lol

is there anything air can go through that water cant? or vise-versa can water go through a crack (etc.) that air couldnt???

GORE-TEX® Is an air permeable waterproof fabric which has been in commercial use for many years in the production of outwear, tents etc.

Water can enter inside a swimming pool's water, but air don't.  :)

There is air dissolved in water: fish would have a hard time breathing if there wasn't.  [xx(]
