How long is this walk? You sure you didn't injure yourself?

Is the joint red, stiff and/or swollen?

Good! It probably isn't arthritis. :)
Mind you I am no doctor so if you are really concerned you should see one.

-------

Did you feel the pain immediately when you first started walking or afterwards when you've had a rest (or a sleep)? Both of your knees hurt?

Perhaps it could be Runner's Knee (Patellofemoral Pain)?

I'm sure it's not arthritis, but please go and see a doctor to be sure. It's more likely something to do with the cartilage in the knees being compacted and rubbing together. That can cause significant amounts of pain, and if it's bad enough, may even require a minor operation. I know you know this, but losing some weight will help take some of the pressure off the knee joints, and may even be enough to get rid of the pain completely.

However, it is perfectly possible to get arthritis at any age, in fact there's a condition called juvenile idiopathic arthritis, which basically means arthrtis in children, and can affect kids of any age - I know kids as young as 4 are involved in arthritis drugs clinical trials. It's an inflammatory disorder, not necessarily associated with age (that's more osteoarthritis), so is about as likely as any other non-age-related condition. You should really get checked out.

Hi and welcome Luizz!!

Like fishy says..it could be.. but simply not having good strong muscles around your knees could cause your knees to hurt also.. because the muscles are not protecting or rather supporting the joints as they should normally if your muscles were in good shape.
bicycling could strengthen your knees and also provide low impact arobic work out and build those muscles back up so they support the joints...don't forget good supportive walking shoes and the surface you are walking on... shoes can be a big benefit to support your ankles and give your knees a good foundation for walking...

So get checked and  have fun getting fit!
