I come from Macclesfield. In the north of England swear words are punctuation and exclamation marks. Some swear words are used affectionately like Ay up you old b****r. Bloody is the most used word in an average conversation in Macclesfield. My Mum who didn't swear much used to swear in triplets. For example "Bloody, so**ing rotten hell" and "Damn, Blast and B****r it"
