Anyone know how to make some vanishing ink that disappears in about 12hours?

I dont think it's possible to make vanishing ink depending on your situation.
Whether it's coloured vanishing ink, ink you can only see with a dark light, or just ink in general that just disappears over a certain period of time just as you requested.

Would an aqueous solution of iodine work, do you think?  It's moderately volatile once dry and not what you'd call really toxic.  I suppose it might bleach the paper a bit though.

Iodine makes a hell of a mess on paper - big brown stains.  I don't think you can get it to sublimate off the paper because it gets bound up in cellulose fibers.  Can't hurt to try, though.

Found it!

Ex-Lax pills, cotton swab, baking soda solution in a spray bottle, vinegar solution in a spray bottle, ammonia water in a spray bottle, paper, rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol).

Basically crush the ex-lax pills and put em in alchohol, thall be you ink. The ammonia solution will make it show up temporarily, in pink mind you. The baking soda will make it permanent, but "revanishable" with vineagar.

Unfortunatley it will disapeer probably quicker in twelve hours, but experiment with other alcohols and bases and acids. just dont eat the paper.
