90o, eh?

I can think of several things that look the same if rotated through 180o, like OXO or SOS, and oxo reads the same backwards. but not rotated through 90o. I take it you don't consider 'O' to be a word?

Why would OXO not read like OXO when rotated 90deg?

O
X
OXO

Oooops. I do beg your pardon Omid.

Damn, Ben. I've been thinking about this one the whole time I was showering. Good bit of lateral thinking there.

Hey guys,
think of any number, just any number you wish ok? and then multiply it with 2 add 4 adn then devide it by 2 and the from your answer subtract the number you thought at the begining and your answer will be 2. give me one good reason how do I know your answer?

Swims isn't swims when rotated 90 degrees  ???
Here's another riddle:

Yes yes, this riddle was made by Albert Einstein himself.

There's a street with five houses on a row in five different colors. In each house lives someone with a different nationality. The five persons all drink different beverages, all smoke a different kind of cigar, and all have a different animal as pets. Someone has a fish.
The riddle is: Who has the fish?

Clues:

* The Brit lives in the red house.
* The Swede has dogs for pets.
* The Dane drinks tea.
* The green house is next to and left of the white house.
* The owner of the green house drinks coffee.
* The person smoking "Pall Mall" keeps birds as pets.
* The owner of the yellow house smokes "Dunhill".
* The man living in the house in the middle drinks milk.
* The Norwegian lives in the first house.
* The man smoking "Blends" lives next to the person that has cats.
* The man owning a horse lives next to the man who smokes "Dunhill".
* The person smoking "Blue Master" drinks beer.
* The German smokes "Prince".
* The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
* The man smoking "Blends" has a neighbor who drinks water.

Play fair! No peeking on the interweb!

Lol make a table, makes it easier to work out :)
We know what is, you just need to work out what isn't and it leaves the options.
I already know it because I have done this one before, so I won't spoil it.

Yours is just math.
First you double the number, then you add four (the double of two).
Then you take half of that so you have your number again plus two
Then if you subtract your number you always have two.

New riddle:
3 friends had a bachelor party out of town, and at the end of the night, they decided to rent a room for the night.
They go up to the reception and rent a room with 3 beds for one night at a rate of 30 euros.
The guys decide to split the amount fairly and each pays 10 euros for the room.

They go upstairs and start getting ready to go to bed when the hotel receptionist knocks at the door.
He said to his guests that he made a mistake and that the room actually only costs 25 euro since it's off-season and gives 5 euros back to his guests.
Being fair as they were, the 3 friends decide to take back 1 euro each and give the receptionist the other two euro as a tip for being honest about the price.

So now, the guys paid 3 times 9 euro, which is 27, plus the two euro tip for the receptionist, which totals up to 29.
BUT! Before going up to their room they each paid 10 euros, which totals up to 30 euros.

What happened to the missing euro?

Nothing happenned to the missing euro, the sum reads.

starting price = 30.00

adjusted price = 25.00

refund price = 5.00

guys kept 3.00

gave back 2.00

Total 5.00

 ;D

I knew that one wasn't gonna work on a science forum.
I've had some folks puzzled for a long time on the "My little pony" forum ;)

Ok here's a cryptic poem:

I can run, but cannot walk.
I have a mouth, but cannot talk.
I have a head, but never weep.
I have a bed, but never sleep.

What are we looking for here?
