You have four chains. Each chain has three links in it. Although it is difficult to cut the links, you wish to make a single loop with all 12 links. What is the fewest number of cuts you must make to accomplish this task? ;)

3 cuts

You take 3 of the 4 chains and lay them like so in first diagram ....Then you take the other 4th chain and make 1 cut in each of the three links and join the remaining three chains together with each of the 3 cut links making 1 continuous loop with only the three 3 cuts!

A man and his son had a terrible car accident and were rushed to the hospital. The man died on the way, but the son was still alive and a surgeon was called in to operate. However, the surgeon saw the young boy and said, "I can't operate on this boy. He's my son."
How is this possible? ;)

you bravo ;D
ok one more a bit tricky one
You're riding a horse. To the right of you is a cliff and in front of you is an elephant going the same pace as you and you can't overtake it. To the left of you is a hippo running at the same speed and behind you is a lion chasing you. How do you get to safety? ;)

Climb onto the elephant.
Stabbing the horse and leaving it as lion bait would probably have the same effect.
Incidentally, what did you do to upset the rhino?

The hippo is running the same speed as who the hose or the elephant.. cause if its the elephant then you should mount the hippo so he catches up and overtakes the elephant? Or maybe just Jump off the cliff?

OH KarenW!
Please don't go into much detail :)
The answer doesn't require that, but still if you want to know then the hippo is running at the same speed as you and the elephant. ::)

I was being perfectly serious. I grant you that riding an elephant bareback might be difficult but what the heck. In real life I can't ride a horese anyway. No other animal is going to bother an elephant and the elephant is big enough that it might not notice (or care about) you climbing on its back.

Quite a lot of options look better than picking a fight with a lion.
