So sleeping in an oxygen tent doesn't cause longevity then.

Indeed. Wouldn't it be better to sleep in an oxygen deprived tent, like high-altitude training?

Given MJ's insubstantial body-bag perhaps he was trying caloric restriction ...

Quote
Caloric Restriction and Aging; January 1996; Scientific American Magazine

Sixty years ago scientists at Cornell University made an extraordinary discovery. By placing rats on a very low calorie diet, Clive M. McCay and his colleagues extended the outer limit of the animals' life span by 33 percent, from three years to four. They subsequently found that rats on low-calorie diets stayed youthful longer and suffered fewer late-life diseases than did their normally fed counterparts. Since the 1930s, caloric restriction has been the only intervention shown convincingly to slow aging in rodents (which are mammals, like us) and in creatures ranging from single-celled protozoans to roundworms, fruit flies and fish.

I can't say I was a fan of Wacko Jacko, though I did like many of his songs. But then it would be difficult to question his talent, >27m copies of Thriller sold worldwide shows how popular he was.

I can't say his early demise is surprising, his obsession with his appearance was probably a major factor in his death. It proves that the insurance companies were right not want to underwrite his UK tour.

I wonder if the pawl bearers will 'moonwalk' his coffin to the grave?

Why is it that so many pop stars become addicted to prescription medicines? Surely the doctors supplying them should be struck off. I've heard so many stories about private Doctors that are happy to keep writing prescriptions as long as the cheques keep rolling in. My husband is a pharmacist and the pharmaceutical society will strike people off if they don't obey the rules. The Doctors equivalent defend doctors that have been naughty. It doesn't make sense.

Don't forget to include his plastic surgeons. If they cannot be struck off they should be forced to display an actual-size photo of MJ's fizzog on their consulting-room door with the caption "I did this". That should put them out of business.

Anyway, how the hell did he do the moonwalk?

He copied was inspired by Marcel Marceau's mime of "walking against the wind", (see 0:25)

The dance move is much older than this. While I cannot understand a word that is said, the clip shows MJ after his visual transformation. I happened to look at this link yesterday: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moonwalk_(dance). They say that the move became popular based on the Billie Jean video of 1983.

How to do it:
My girl-friend knows how to do it. She also knows how to make smoke rings. She is not much of a dancer and did never/does not smoke though. Weird.

I wonder if the pawl bearers will 'moonwalk' his coffin to the grave?

Now that would be cool and actually quite classy. At least for a short distance.

Check out this video of Bill Bailey (no not the long-haired comedian) at 1:30

But perhaps not a re-enactment of the graveyard scene from this thriller video .
