Judith asked the Naked Scientists:

If a child has had swine flu he should have developed antibodies I think, but without testing this, will he be given the vaccine when it is ready, or will he be tested first?

I don't want him to miss out if it wasn't swine flu.  He was given Tamiflu.

Thanks

What do you think?

Hi Judith,

Well as it stands the government are not testing anyone for swine 'flu due to the sheer cost and numbers of it, so I am presuming the same will go for people who have had the swine 'flu, if it isn't confirmed then logically I am assuming they would still get the jab. I can't imagine the government would leave a big gap of possibly unvaccinated people in the community as it would undermine the point of vaccination.
