Ethics, something we thought up. A description of why we no longer throw cats in the fireplace to get a good laugh. In the end, a way of living, as a individual, and as a society. F* that up, and you regress.

There is no trick to being yourself. It's when you try to be something you're not that you fail. Being yourself make people see you, that's not wrong in my book, to be seen.

Ever wondered why Empires fall? It's simple, they all want to be in control. For a real 'empire' the question of ideals becomes a second hand question. The first one will be about controlling. And they all fall. there is no empire that hasn't. Ideals on the other tentacle has a way of staying.

Myself I prefer ideals, before empires.

Yeah, in some ways I'm boring. But it's my life:) my hopes and my expectations. And I'm not selling any of it, don't want to.

With a risk of sounding mystical. it's only when you accept that you to will die that you can live. Because that is what it takes, to fully live.

I better point out that this is not a 'self improvement' manual :)

As such it fails horribly. It's about living, and dying, keeping your self esteem as good as you can. It's about you, doing the best you can, where you are, never mind what happens, and in the end, you will be the sole judge of it. It won't promise you happiness, if you want that, try greed.

Of course. it builds on a presumption of good and bad. And it's not society's values I refer to there, it's about who you think you are, and who you want to be.

Just remember one thing, the next time you read a 'guru'. He's not immortal, is he? And why is it mostly men believing themselves to be able to steer your thoughts? F* it, be a human being.

Think 'Five' wrote that universe is a 'null game' somewhere. In a way it's correct, we come from 'nothing', we use 'energy' to exist, and as we disappear 'nothing' will still be as great as it was when we was here. So will the 'information' about this universe, according to the main stream beliefs. I only differ in what I think we can build from it, to me it can be ugly, or beautiful. Think of it as a impossibility of choices, expressed through time. Use your free will.

You could simplify it to the universe being a description of transformations, of a constant equilibrium of 'energy'. Those transformations builds not only on 'mass', unless you by that possibly means it all? Including 'thoughts'. You don't need to be mystical to accept that you think, do you? The coin of exchange for it we call 'energy', time, and entropy. And as five described, in some way it also becomes a null game. But you and me, we build an idea, a dream of what it could be, if we're prepared to try. You don't have to save the world, just take care of yourself.

To simplify, there are two obvious ways, either you control others, or your self. The one where you go for controlling others can also be seen as a way of greed, and a way of letting others tell you what you are.The other isn't as rewarding, but it will matter.

And no, controlling oneself is actually admitting that everyone has a same birth right to it. It's not a logic building up to 'by controlling myself I now will control others better'. That one, although some reason that way, is not thought through in my book. It's the other way around :) You live, and let live.

Ahh :) Single malt. If anything is a gift from the gods, then single malt is it. Never the less, we all have a nagging feeling that things isn't working out the way we would like :) No matter single malt. And yes, it's true. But it's not about you, neither about me, it's ideals, ideas, beliefs we cherish. The one about getting one better upon your neighbor, the one about being perfect when you look at yourself in the mirror. Never the one about being whom you are.

I don't expect us to change a f**ng thing by commissions, or committees We will change life if we try to be true to ourselves though. Rings on the water, that's what we will become :) Stop being cynical, try to be true to yourself instead, and the ones you love.

It's a never ending struggle, and I won't promise you a happy ending. It's life, but it's worth fighting for. It's you you're fighting for, you and the dreams of what it could be, not what you see but what it could become. And you need to start with yourself.

Instead of binding yourself to some others goals or ideals, be true to yourself, use that mind of yours, compassion and empathy. And also, no need to be perfect. F* that.
