The last few days have become intolerable. Doesn;t matter which browser I use...Kmeloen, firefox or IE...I keep on getting this: (Firefox example)

The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

    *   The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
          moments.

    *   If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
          connection.

    *   If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

the "loading" tabs just keeping loading ad infinitum !!

It's doing my head in making the internet virtually unusable for me ....there are brief moments (like this very instance) when I can actually post stuff !...I've cleared out cookies, run all the usual checks..turned off firewalls then turned them back on ....any ideas ?

On rare occasions I've had a similar problem: it was due to problems on the internet, not the computer.
Having your router to pick up another IP address (find another way onto the net) may enable you to avoid the problem,
i.e. switch your router (hub thingy) off for 10sec then back on again.

I had a lot of similar problems with Windows 7100 RTM but recently set up a drive with Windows Enterprise and have had no recurrence although this is not populated with as many programs as yet
