Why Do Young Children NOT get BO ?
« on: 14/10/2009 11:07:08 »

Dearest Body-Odourologists,

As a sheepy I am of course very sweet smelling, why even my poo is used to make air fresheners !

Air Freshener Made From Sheep Poo

Look at these people :

Armpit Sniffers!!

They are members of a an elite group of isolationists who meet every third Wednesday of the month to partake in their rather esoteric practice of Armpit Sniffing. It's all to do with BO !

Notice how all grown up they are ?...see how they are very non child like ?

This is because , apparently, young children do not have BO and so they would never be able to join that club..

Why's that then ?..why do young kiddies not have BO ? Where does all their BO stuff go ?

I'd like to know....ewe can tell me...then I will know !

hugs & Shmishes

mwah mwah mwah !

A common misunderstanding is that sweat is smelly.
However, sweat is just a conductor/amplifier of the smell, that's actually caused by bacteria and other organisms living on your skin.

Obviously, your collection of skin crawlers becomes bigger when you get older..

Thank ewe Nizzle.

So what ewe are saying is that young peeps do have BO but it's very mild because they have little amount of bacteria growing on them !
I guess that's right....so the older we get...the smellier we become !

excellentay !..thank ewe for the info.

yes..yes...I now recall that I heard that kids up to the age of six don't get BO...so, as a seven year old he's on the cusp of radiating BO luff !

Yes he could get rather potent at that age..! LOL... I wonder if its the sweat glands that just have not fully developed at that point.. I know all babies get hot.. but sweat seems little.. they get heat rash etc.. red and sick...Although sweating during sleep as infants was common. Babies do have trouble in the temperature regulating department... They really  need extra help ie clothing removal etc to cool off and bundling to keep warm...so perhaps just immature glands or just lack of enough physical exercise to get BO...?

Sebum is odorless, but its bacterial breakdown can produce odo{u}rs...
The activity of the sebaceous glands increases during puberty because of heightened levels of androgens.

More sebum production, e.g. when approaching puberty, more BO.
