Changing someone's screensaver to display an image of a BSOD can induce a few moments of panic.  It can be even funnier if you do it to a Mac.

Along similar lines, take a screenshot of their desktop and then display it in a full-screen image viewer.  In most image viewers, the left mouse button doesn't activate anything but is just used for dragging the image around, so when the user tries to left-click on an icon or button in the image nothing happens.  If you want to be more artistic you take the screenshot away with you and add a bogus pop-up dialogue box to the screengrab using a paint program i.e. something like "Microsoft Deus ex machina Alert:  The Microsoft Deus ex machina agent has detected that you are too incompetent to use this computer and further access has been denied."

the fork bomb opens command prompt until the computer either shuts down or becomes too slow to operate, also when done right its scary too. its best disguised as another program and hidden in the system 32, also put on start up. makes it extra fun lol

Oh great, and how the hell do you reverse that once you've implemented it...?

Computer pranks can be pretty stressful to the less computer savvy so I donít do them all that often. A simple "safe" favourite is to partially or completely change the font on a couple word/excel documents in progress to dingbats or symbol - also hide the formatting toolbar.

name the fork bomb something very simple and easy to notice, go into safe mode without command prompt, that will keep command prompt from opening, then go into the system 32, and remove your fork bomb, its a simple batch file too
