What is the Norway Spiral?
« on: 10/12/2009 04:05:22 »
Hey there,

Has anyone heard anything about this? I've been trying to find some videos or pictures of it - it looks beautiful and something to behold!

Any of our members here went through it?

Oh and also, what are possible suggestions of what could be happening

No, I think it's definitely something alien; probably a message forewarning the end of the world in 2012.

A few years ago a travelling funfair in the UK did something similar as a publicity stunt:
they shone powerful lights (lasers ?) up into the sky projecting patterns onto the low cloud base "screen".

It just came on the news that Russia claims it was one of their space shots that went out of control.

Fine if the Russians want to take the blame for it, but for an out of control rocket, that looks too well controlled to me.  I have to wonder where the blueness comes from too.

One of the problems with the digital era of photography and film is that there's now no proof of what was actually shot; faking stuff on film is a lot harder than faking stuff digitally.  Doing something like that in a 3D package, and then compositing it on to real footage is pretty trivial.

News says it was a test fire of a new type of Russian ICBM. Space aliens would certainly be a more comforting story.

7 December 2009: Today is the first day of a two-week conference in Copenhagen, during which world leaders will decide a successor to the Kyoto protocol. Each country's delegation is preparing for battle, and activists have gathered in the city, which is peppered with art installations to raise awareness of what is at stake if a strong deal is not made

Laser Show FAQ's
# 2 Can I advertise my company via a laser show on the clouds?

Certainly if you can guarantee the weather ! We recommend that a more reliable medium be used.
Cloud projection can be considered a bonus when it is possible.
