is it possible to increase the strength of a magnet by doubling the # of magnets two together instead of one alone?
where two magnets are put together will it double the strength or just be a pain to do?

By adding more magnets together the total fiel ENERGY can be increased and the forces neccessary to seperate objects increased but the actual strength of the field in teslas is dependant on the nature of the magnets and this will not increase.
