HPLC fraction collectors
« on: 12/10/2005 14:54:51 »
Hi, I'm a PhD student who's been asked by the boss to rig up an HPLC purification system on an analytical / semi-prep scale.  We've cobbled together some suitable bits of Waters kit for the HPLC but we also want a fraction collector.  I've no experience of these things so was wondering if anyone's got any recommendations for a cheap, easy to set-up, easy to service system for around 2k.  Is this a realistic budget?

Cheers for any help,

Dave

Hi Dave

I too am trying to get a fraction collector although I already have an HPLC system.  Someone told me that you could get basic fraction collectors for about 700 but this might be way out.  Thats why I'm on line at the moment.  to try and find out the price of these things.  Sorry that doesn't get you much further.
