can i start building muscle now?

People are telling me that im to skinny now but i still have some fat left on my stomach. i want to start building muscle but do i have to lose the fat on my stomach first? can i start working out now instead of focusing on losing weight?

the more muscle mass you have, the faster metabolism works so the faster you lose weight. Besides, the best way to lose weight IS exercise so what do you mean when you say focus upon losing weight first?

Consume sufficient protein, i like to drink protein shakes myself before and after work outs to supply protein to the developing muscle fast enough to have a big effect as that burning feeling you get is ripped muscle and the body starts repairing it immediately so best there is protein in your system.

when I asked him about diet (protein etc), he advised me not to worry about protein supplements but to eat lots of calories to give my body the energy it needs.

I thought that the body cannot synthesize protein, it must be consumed? Therefore it makes sense that in order to build up muscle fast there must be sufficient protein going in to allow this?

You should to and drink some protein shakes because protein is developing muscle fast enough to have a big effect as that burning feeling you get fast muscle build.
