6.0M earthquake just offshore northern California not far from Karen's home.  Looks like moderate shaking in the area.  Just curious how you fared?

Hi Bass ! It was a nice firm Jolt and we heard a loud boom... It was like a big boom jolt then small wobble ending with smaller boom and jolt, but we did ok this time. If it had been a longer quake I fear it would have been frightening as the firt a few weeks ago. I have felt two aftershocks and was sick to my tummy afor about three or so hours before then my tummy stopped hurting.. but it did not last I think it was my medications.. getting my tummy and nerves afterwards just made it worse....Many people did not feel it this time but am finding those on this end felt it pretty good out fieldbrook way... but some nothing...It was weird weather to for an earthquake The wind was howling really hard and it was a bit rainy before then agaiin after but the wind was incredibly hard during the quake! Not typical of our usual weather or atmosphere during an earthquake.. its generally much stiller out and about...and muggier.. although it was not cold but just windy!

Karen: if you use iGoogle have a look at:

http://www.google.com/ig/adde?moduleurl=earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/mapplets/earthquakes.xml&source=imag

If you have GoogleEarth on your system you can use this .KML plugin:

http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/catalogs/eqs7day-age.kmz

That one colours the quakes by age but there's another that colours them by depth, plus a few more USGS GE earthquake related plugins available at:
