My son just got a fire call someone out here on my road was just shot by an unknown gunman and he is hiding here somewhere in my tiny neighborhood road.. I have the  one of the two biggest properties... I have locked my doors closed my windows and am in the bedroom with my curtains drawn up tight! Now exactly what am I supposed to do.. I have both my daughters dog and My ex husbands dog in here with me.. they have been growling for 20 minutes.... but I had no idea until my son text-ed me about the situation.... I am supposed to be in Blue lake by eight for Karaoke but maybe not!

OK,, Update from police to fire dept. Turns out this supposed gunman actually shot himself on accident.. the Dogs have been barking at the policemen scouring the block only to find that their was no actual crime.. this dude accidentally shot himself.. What a bozo! I'm going to Karaoke! LOL... Nate said all is contained and they are hauling him to the hospital!
My stomach is doing flip flops again though.. Jeesh!

I'd like to know what a bozo like that is doing with a gun! Seems he does not know how to handle a gun anyways!

Perhaps he bought his gun in Texas. From what I understand, any bozo can buy a gun there.

YES ME TOO.. I THINK THY ARE PRETTY ACCESSIBLE ABOUT ANYWHERE, BUT SOME OF THE LAWS HAVE STIFFENED UP REGARDING BACK GROUND CHECKS AND SECURITY.. AT LEAST THATS WHAT I HAVE BEEN TOLD. I THOUGHT IT WAS BASICALLY THE SAME ALL OVER  THE US!( Sorry about the caps being stuck!)

I like where I live in Humboldt County California...and there is seldom much excitement here.. LOL! I live in a valley on a small hill  just a bit from the freeway in the country. I live on an old gravel unpaved road in a home built in the mid 50's.Its not much but its mine.. usually quiet and nice like tonight.. all I hear is a dog bark in the distance and the frogs outside my bedroom window with a very constant chatter of croaking.. Its very nice and peaceful although since they cleared out a lot of trees I hear mor freeway then I used to in the distance!
