What in the world is this?
« on: 14/03/2010 20:23:08 »
I decided with the weather break, I would do some yard trimming. I live in southwestern PA so our winter has just recently broke.

I was trimming a bush back so that when it warms, I could remove it to make way for next years garden and some berry bushes.

As I cut it back, I noticed this hard rock that looked like a insect nest. I know nothing of fossils or anything like that. It wasn't buried. It was actually protruding from the ground.

If anyone could help that would be tops haha

It is a coral. It may have come form the rocks or it could have been gotten form the topics by a scuba diver.
