CERN, little bangs, big bucks and what do you get?

Is this the day we will remember as important in terms of our understanding of the universe as any in history or not?

No not yet the LHC is only just starting up and is still quite a long way from its planned maximum energy and beam density.  It will take years of careful observation and statistics before the results of any experiments can be given.  this area of science does not tend to have instant revalations so the specofoc datwe on which any results are confirmed cannot be given
