As well as following the way populations have changed and migrated, we can use modern genetic techniques to really get to know an individual body as long as itís preserved well enough.  Professor Eske Willerslev and his team were able to sequence the genome of a 4000 year old man, Inuk, from just some hairs found in Greenland...

I've read about a new invention, which can detect unseeable small traces and can analyse that.
it has been recently in Scientific American, a magazine.
so it's tough to say what they can do now these days, and I haven't read that article yet in that magazine.
