My daughter, only 3 years old, refuses to come out of the shower, she wants to stay in there for ever it seems.  and bribery just does not work!

Flush the toilet a few times, the pressure surges will have her out in a flash. Failing that turn off the water at the mains.

Dude let her enjoy her quiet private time..its important time learning about female development and herself ...gives her space and a place of solitude and comfort in the warmth of the water..its relaxing.. Kids need space too.. life can be overwhelming at that age..and a shower helps an over stimulated body relax..personally  I take long hot showers sometimes up to an hour or until the hot waters I was a child also...Hot shower is one of the simple pleasures in life.. at least she is not glued to a television or video game at the time...

My 3 year old daughter won't get out of the shower half the time too.

But I have found that turning off the hot tap works a treat. Now, if she won't come out, just the suggestion that the cold tap might get turned on is enough to send her scurrying out in search of her towel...

I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that, in some cultures at least, the women folk are expected to fetch the water from the well?

Only sayin'

I gently coerce my 4 year old out of the shower with a loving parental gift of a few ice cubes. *le sigh*...the things we do for love.

Set a timer for her that makes an annoying noise.

Tell her that you are going to somewhere she wants. But try to make it real. Cheers
