Micah McElroy  asked the Naked Scientists:

Hello,

I've a question for the Naked Scientists:

How are certain carnivores, especially those who have a diet comprised almost entirely of meat (For example, Komodo Dragons), able to avoid vitamin deficiencies?

I've always been under the assumption humans could never subsist off meat alone for too long a time--how are extreme carnivores different?

Thanks,
Micah

What do you think?
