How does a ventriloquist speak?

It might probabbly be stomach as it is hard to determine who is making the sound...

Ventriloquists tend to speak with minimal lip movement, the audience has a tendency to associate the mouth of the dummy that is moving as the source of the voice. A simple case of misdirection, using the ability of the brain to fool itself.
