Can you crack this code?
« on: 08/07/2010 22:29:29 »
http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_upshot/20100707/od_yblog_upshot/the-secret-code-in-u-s-cyber-commands-logo

The sequence on the logo is 9ec4c12949a4f31474f299058ce2b22a

It looks as if it's a 16 byte series of 8 bit binary numbers represented by hexademimal pairs - 9e c4 c1 etc.

It's not a code.  It's just the MD5 hash of the United States Cyber Command mission statement.

See:http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/07/08/cyber_command_crest_md5/

Thanks Lee!

The Yahoo guys must have been using the wrong version of the mission statement.

BTW - maybe you can explain how a hash works.
